TK7

The Tillett TK7 is an aluminium plate designed to reinforce the main seat stay positions.

This is sometimes necessary on flexible seats where no extra seat stays are to be used, preventing over flexing. They are also very useful if a hole has been drilled overlapping the one you wish to use. When fixed to the seat using pop rivets, the aluminium plate will stop the bolt from travelling up the slot.

The TK7 plate has been designed to make for a swift and simple kart seat adjustment. The plate can be riveted parallel to the floor, with the main seat stay bolt in the central hole, then the mechanic can quickly reset the seat in 1 cm increments forwards or backwards. If the seat needs raising for the wet, the lower holes can be used to quickly lift the seat 1.5 cm.
