Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Tillett Limited are committed to protecting and respecting your data and your privacy.
Tillett Racing Seats care about your privacy.
Tillett Limited (trading as Tillett Racing Seats) is a company registered in England and Wales and as such is subject to UK legislation. The Data Protection Act 2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The following privacy policy details how Tillett Racing Seats will collect, process, and retain personal data.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Aggregated data
- Combined data gathered to provide statistical analysis; this data does not identify a person, for example age and height.
- Personal data
- Data which directly identifies a person, for example name, address and telephone number.
What Is Personal Data?
At Tillett Racing Seats, we believe strongly in fundamental privacy rights, and that those fundamental rights should not differ depending on where you live in the world. That’s why we treat any data that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, or that is linked or linkable to them by Tillett Racing Seats, as “personal data,” no matter where the individual lives. This means that data that directly identifies you, such as your name, is personal data. Aggregated data is considered non-personal data for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy covers how Tillett Racing Seats handles personal data whether you interact with us on our website, through email, social media or in person (including by phone or when visiting our headquarters). Tillett Racing Seats may also use third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to how third parties define personal data or how they use it. We encourage you to read their privacy policies and understand your privacy rights before interacting with them, for example our selected couriers, dealers, or payment processing partners.
Your Privacy Rights
At Tillett Racing Seats, we respect your ability to know, access, correct, transfer, restrict the processing of, and delete your personal data. We have provided these rights to our global customer base. If you choose to exercise these privacy rights, you have the right not to be treated in a discriminatory way, nor to receive a lesser degree of service from Tillett Racing Seats. Where you are requested to consent to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
There may be situations where we cannot grant your request, for example, if you ask us to delete your transaction data and Tillett Racing Seats is legally obligated to keep a record of that transaction to comply with law or governing bodies such as the FIA.

Cookies
What are cookies and why do we use them?
Cookies are small text files that are created and stored on your browser or device by websites that you visit, to enable the website to operate and ‘remember’ who you are. They are also used to monitor website traffic. Cookies are generally only visible to the website that sets them.
Our cookies are used to ‘remember’ information so that it can be passed from page to page and to collect website statistics. This data may be used to help improve our website, offers, and services. Some cookies will also recognise you as a previous visitor the next time you visit our website to improve your experience, if you have consented to be remembered.
Cookie types explained:
- Session Cookies. These are erased when you close your browser. They store your browsing information and will be active until you leave a site and close your browser.
- Persistent Cookies. These files remain in a browser’s subfolder until they are deleted manually, or your browser deletes them based on the duration period set within the cookie. You can configure your browser to remove these automatically on logging off.
Our use of cookies
At Tillett we specifically use cookies for:
- Social Sharing. Enabling you to share Tillett content via social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Analytics and session replay. We use PostHog to understand how visitors find and use our website — which pages are viewed, how people navigate, and where they run into problems — so we can keep our content and shop working well. Where you have consented, this includes session replay, which records a playback of your visit (such as page navigation, mouse movement and clicks). These are non-essential and are only activated after you accept analytics cookies.
- Cart. This enables the customer’s shopping cart to remain active for the duration of the logged-in session.
Analytics and session recording (PostHog)
We use PostHog, a product-analytics platform, to measure and improve how our website performs. PostHog is configured to process data on PostHog’s European (EU) cloud infrastructure (Frankfurt, Germany) and acts as our data processor, handling this data only on our instructions and in line with this Privacy Policy.
Where you have consented to analytics cookies, PostHog helps us collect:
- the pages you visit, the order you visit them in, and how long you stay;
- clicks, taps, form interactions and other on-page actions;
- your approximate location, derived from your IP address (we do not use this to identify you personally);
- your device, browser and operating system;
- e-commerce activity, such as adding a product to your cart, starting checkout, and completing an order (including order value and items purchased); and
- session replay — a recording of your visit that lets us see how the page behaved for you. Password fields are masked and we do not intend to capture the content of sensitive fields such as payment details.
To recognise a visitor between pages and visits, PostHog stores a randomly generated identifier in a first-party cookie and in your browser’s local storage (see the table below). If you are not logged in, this identifier is not linked to your name or contact details.
The main analytics cookies and storage we use are:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_[project]_posthog |
PostHog (first-party) | Stores a random identifier used to measure website usage and, with consent, enable session replay. | Up to 12 months |
| PostHog local storage entries | PostHog (first-party) | Holds the same analytics identifier and preferences in your browser’s local storage. | Until you clear your browser storage |
Essential cookies (for example, to keep your shopping cart and logged-in session working) and social-sharing cookies are also used as described above.
Cookie consent
When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Analytics and session-replay cookies are only set after you accept them. You may change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the ‘Cookie Settings’ link in the footer of our website; withdrawing consent will stop further analytics and session recording.
How to manage cookies in your browser
